Our client purchased a 91m2, 3 bedroom bungalow and saw the potential to develop the dwelling to provide enlarged modern family accommodation, which would reflect the existing streetscape as almost all other dwellings had been substantially extended.
Our design brief was to extend both vertically and to the rear to provide a formal lounge, open plan family/dining/lounge, home office, utility, attached garage, grandparent accommodation with an en-suite, library, snug/morning room, family bathroom, family shower room and an additional 4 bedrooms, 1 with an en-suite and a dressing room.
The team prepared a design which was to the client’s approval and gained both Planning and Building Warrant consent and the project took approx; 6 months to complete from start to finish inclusive of gaining a Building Standards Completion Certificate.
The new total footprint of the 2-storey dwelling is 322m2 with a 18m2 attached garage, tripling the dwelling accommodation.
